The Task menu
WARNING: The commands in the Task menu are very powerful. Make sure that you check your filter settings before actually executing a task.

- Frequent words sorted by frequency
- Generate a list containing all source words in the active project, sorted by word frequency.
- Frequent words sorted by length
- Generate a list containing all source words in the active project, sorted by word length.
- Frequent words sorted alphabetically
- Generate a list containing all source words in the active project, sorted alphabetically.
- Transfer segments with no letters to target
- Populate all segments that don't contain any letters.
- Transfer non-translatable segments to target
- Populate all segments that only contain non-translatables.
- Transfer source segments to target segments
- Copy the source segment content to the target segment for all segments in the active project.
- Remove target segments
- Clear all target segments in the active project.
- Remove target segments the same as source
- Clear those target segments in the active project that are identical to the corresponding source segments. Use this to clear pre-segmented Trados TTX files.
- Reset segments match status
- Reset the segment match status of all (filtered) segments to ??.
- Reset segments status
- Reset the segment status of all (filtered) segments to ??
- Set Checked state for target segments
- Set the status of all (filtered) segments to "Checked". You can use this to finalise SDLXLIFF projects or to skip multiple (filtered) segments during Spell-checking.
- Set Translated state for target segments
- Set the status of all (filtered) segments to "Translated". You should use this to finalise SDLXLIFF projects.
- Trim leading spaces in target segments
- Remove all white spaces at the start of all (filtered) segments.
- Trim trailing spaces in target segments
- Remove all white spaces at the end of all (filtered) segments.
- Remove duplicate TMX units
- Remove all segments from a TMX project or attached TM where both source and target are duplicate.
- Remove TMX units with duplicate source segments
- Remove all segments from a TMX project where source segments have been stored with multiple translations (either identical or different). The newest TU (the one with the highest line number in the TMX file) is kept.
- Remove TMX units with source=target
- Remove all segments where the source is identical with the target.
- Remove TMX units with no letters
- Remove all segments that don't contain any letters.
- Remove filtered TMX units
- Filter on a certain string or regular expression or QA condition in source and/or target segments. Then remove all matching segments from the TM. Very powerful. Make a backup of your TMX file first. Errare humanum est.
- Replace TMX internal tags with space
- Remove all internal tags and replace them with a normal space.
- Set property for TMX units
- Assign a property to all (filtered) segments.
- Remove property from TMX units
- Remove a property from all (filtered) segments.
