Automatically creating glossaries with Rainbow

You can use Machine Translation to create glossaries for rather specific collections like names of rivers, towns, flowers, butterflies, capitals, countries, native birds, military ranks, colours etc.

You can feed Okapi Rainbow with a monolingual list and let an MT engine like Google Translate translate this list and save it as a tab-delimited glossary.

First, install Okapi Rainbow as described here.

  • Create a list with source terms:

  • Drag it into the the input list of Rainbow:

  • Set the correct language codes and encoding:

  • Execute the pipeline and check the glossary that has been created:
