Installing the Hunspell spell checker
- From the Edit menu, choose Spell checker:
- Set the preferred language (e.g. de-DE).
- Click the link As zipped files at…
- Navigate to the right zip package for the spell checker that you want to install:
- Click the right mouse button and choose 'Save Link As':
- Navigate to the folder where you have saved the ZIP file (e.g. the Desktop):
- Select the ZIP file.
- Choose open:
- A message is displayed:
- Quit and restart CafeTran.
PLEASE NOTE: The spell checker files are stored in the following folder:

Each language has his own custom dictionary. When you add a new spell checker like described above, the corresponding custom dictionary is created automatically:
