Finding and Replacing
- Select a word in the source language pane and open the Find and Replace dialog.
- The selection from the source language pane is automatically inserted into the Find field.
- Cancel the selection in the source language pane.
- Select a word in the target language pane and open the Find and Replace dialog.
- The selection from the target language pane is automatically inserted into the Find field.
- Type your replacement string into the Replace field of the Find and Replace dialog and click the Find button. In the Grid the Find results are displayed.
- Note that there currently is no Undo function available.
- A unique function of CafeTran is that you can also easily Find and Replace in the Translation Memory. This way you can modify the source and/or target side of the Translation Memory. Make sure the correct Translation Memory is selected in the tabbed-pane.
- You can use older Find strings again.
- Click on the Selection box to select the Find string that you have used before.
- You don't have to open the Find and Replace dialog to find text. You can also type directly into the Find box above the source language pane. Press the Return key to start the finding.
- Note that the scope for this Find box is selected in the Find and Replace dialog.
