profile physician, Capaciteitsorgaan: een profielarts is geen specialist. Dan ontstaat verwarring. Dan nog liever weer terug naar profile physician, dat sluit aan bij de Nederlandse term. Info: naast de arts M&G (vier jaar opleiding, conform Europese standaarden) komen er nu 7 typen profielartsen bij met een opleiding van 2 jaar. De profielartsen zullen in BIG geregistreerd zijn als basisarts (wet BIG artikel 3). Daarnaast zullen de profielartsen een aantekening krijgen in een speciaal register dat zal worden bijgehouden door de Sociaal Geneeskundige Registratie Commissie (SGRC). De profielen zijn: jeugdarts; arts infectieziektenbestrijding; arts tuberculosebestrijding; arts medisch milieukundige, etc.
